Lake District Weekend

Ribblehead Mountain Biking Weekend
This course is based in the Ribblehead area
near to Ingleton and Hawes.
It is suitable to all standards from
beginners upwards. A reasonable standard of
fitness is required. Equipment, including
bikes can be hired if required.
Day 1:
Arrive at your leisure in late afternoon,
early evening.
If you’re in time a quick ride in the
afternoon that can be arranged to suit!
Evening meal.
Bike check and briefing, in the bar.
Night biking (in the dark!) by
request.
Day 2:
Cross-country
day on the Bridle Ways from Ribblehead over
the shoulder of Whernside hill and a speedy
downhill into the village of Dent for lunch.
A stimulating uphill
after lunch as the ride heads for Ingleton.
There is an optional
extra climb (and of course descent!) if time
and weather allows that brings us back to
our accommodation and the pub!

Day 3:
After a full breakfast Biking around the
Ribblehead area today focuses on some of the
ancient tracks of the area. Some fine riding
up around Malham Tarn. Finished in time for
a late afternoon drink and to suit your time
of departure!
An extra evening’s accommodation can be
arranged by request!

These prices include guiding on the hills,
breakfast and packed lunch.
Allow about £10 for evening meal if you want
to eat in the pub.
Any hire gear – or ‘pick-ups’ from local
stations will be possible, but extra!
Single occupancy add £15 per night for
Hotel.
