Lake District - Hire/Bike Weekend

The Lake District
- Hire / Bike Weekend
The English Lake District provides excellent
opportunities for adventurous activities.
The scenery is spectacular and possibilities
for days on the mountains and the lakes are
limitless.
The course is based near to Shap at Hawes
Water – a convenient location for those
travelling by motorway, and yet a very
secluded area of the National Park.
This weekend is for everyone keen for some
activity in the winter! A full day of
mountain biking and a full mountain day – as
well as a great range of accommodation and
welcoming bars in which to relax.
It is suitable for beginners as well as
those with experience, but having a
reasonable standard of fitness means you
will enjoy the weekend a lot more!
Bikes and other equipment can be rented!

Friday:
Arrive at your leisure in late afternoon,
early evening.
If you’re in time a quick ride in the
afternoon that can be arranged to suit!
Evening meal.
Night biking (in the dark!) by
request.
Saturday:
Cross-country mountain bike day on the
Bridle Ways around the area.
There is an optional
extra climb (and of course descent!) if time
and weather allows that brings us back to
our accommodation and the pub!
Sunday:
Mountain Day. After a full breakfast enjoy a
full mountain day on the spectacular
Blencathra peak (via Sharp Edge). Back down
in plenty of time to suit your departure.
